Persevere is a narrative strategy game set on a hostile alien world, where survival means staying on the move. Salvage a derelict locomotive, recruit a crew to keep it alive, and forge a route across a planet dotted with enigmatic alien complexes and failing human colonies.
Your crew will fracture, bond, and evolve as crises unfold around them, push too hard and you'll lose them; pull together and you survive long enough to find a way off this world.

Rescue or retreat? Build or upgrade? Loyalty or logic? Every decision affects the path ahead, and who's still with you when it ends.
Procedural storytelling and crew-driven narrative mean every decision can have lasting consequences. Your crew's actions, motivations, and relationships, shape your journey.
Recruit and manage a diverse crew to gather resources, and unlock new train cars, towers, and research. Each crew member has unique traits that influence how they interact with the world and respond to unfolding events.
Hold the line with towers which are customised and enhanced through research. Adapt your strategy to withstand evolving threats. This enemy can't be defeated, only delayed.
Your train acts as both your crew's home and the foundation of your defense. The acquisition and choice of carriages determines available towers, capabilities, and progression.
No two journeys are the same. Each run offers new crew, locations, resources, and train cars. Only the fight to survive remains constant.
We were inspired by narrative strategy games like Frostpunk, where you manage a settlement, and engage in the story of that place.
But we asked: what if that settlement wasn't static? What if the experience became a journey, full of tension, mystery, and momentum? That question became the foundation for Persevere.
Also, we like trains.
Persevere will be available on Steam for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck.
We'll be launching our Steam page, along with an announcement trailer, in the coming months.
We are near completion on production on a prototype of Persevere. Check out What's Happening for the latest news, or sign up to our newsletter below to be kept up to date with the latest developments.
